Paint Shop Digitalization Developer Intern

Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States

Work term: January 11 – May 14, 2027 (full-time, on-site, 40 hours per week)

About the role

Support Paint Shop training initiatives as a key member of the digitalization team, contributing to the growth of the paint shop and plant training process.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools used for reporting and planning (Excel, Apex, Power BI, or others).
• Create and potentially teach a custom training course.
• Plan projects related to technical training equipment and processes.
• Learn and apply new technologies such as Augmented Reality and new software.
• Report on technical trainings.
• Further develop reporting tools (Oracle, SharePoint).
• Maintain reporting systems.
• Plan future training courses.
• Perform gap analysis of qualifications.
• Analyze training data.
• Forecast training needs.
• Assist the Training Coordination Team (TCT) with new class development, planning, and other tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university in the United States with a major in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Analytics, or a similar field.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
• Transfer students must have a GPA from their current university.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours per week).
• Must pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
