About the role
As a Paint Sales Associate, you will ensure smooth retail operations by moving store merchandise from point-of-order to point-of-customer receipt. You will provide direct and indirect service to customers, maintain appropriate inventory levels on the floor and in the stockroom, check in shipments and store orders for accuracy, completeness, and quality condition, and manage incoming or outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will also include keeping accurate records and files, preparing the store for opening and closing, maintaining items in good condition, guiding other workers, and assisting in various tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Move store merchandise from point-of-order to point-of-customer receipt
- Provide direct and indirect customer service
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom
- Check in shipments and store orders for accuracy, completeness, and quality condition
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments
- Keep accurate records and files
- Prepare the store for opening and closing
- Maintain items in good condition
- Guide and assist other workers
- Deliver merchandise to customer homes and job sites
Requirements
- Flexible and adaptable to changes that may affect the position
- Ability to quickly count and use simple addition
- Meet physical requirements, including the ability to lift 100 lbs. and be on your feet all day
- Ability to use current technology and show an aptitude for learning new programs
- Clean driving record
