Paint Line Technician TN 1st and 2nd Shift

About the role

This position reports to the Paint Line Supervisor. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload various parts to the conveyor.
• Perform preventive maintenance of the paint line systems.
• Conduct titrations and chemical adjustments of the washer and wastewater system.
• Execute powder painting, including during break times.
• Inspect final painted parts.
• Perform any additional duties that are logically and properly inherent to this position or assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Operate overhead air hoist and drive forklift.
• Organizational skills (a plus).
• Good communication skills and ability to work as a team.
• Chemical experience (a plus).
• Industrial powder or E‑Coat experience (desired).
• General preventive maintenance experience and ability to troubleshoot (a plus).
• Basic math skills.
• Previous paint line experience in a manufacturing setting (desired).
• Ability to gain knowledge of company products.
• Compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and JOST company policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

Work is generally performed in a production plant (80% of the time) and in an office setting (20%). While performing duties, the employee will regularly stand, walk, reach, bend, and twist, and occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull, or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
