Paint Line Operator

About the role

This safety-sensitive position involves paint line operations, material handling, and equipment operation in a manufacturing environment. May serve as a lead person performing additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Use a hoist to move and hang castings on the paint line
• Use compressed air to blow dirt from castings
• Use an air pump to pull excess paint from inside of castings
• Inspect castings and touch up paint with spray paint
• Band castings for shipment as needed
• Operate assigned mobile equipment (forklift, front-end loader, sweeper, etc.) to transport materials in and between departments
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Follow safety rules that apply to personal safety and the safety of others
• Report equipment malfunctions to proper authority
• Perform other work as instructed by supervisor
