Paint Booth Cleaner

About the role

MPS Group, Inc. is seeking multiple Paint Booth Cleaners to join our team at the GM Spring Hill automotive manufacturing facility in Spring Hill, TN.

Schedule

3rd Shift

• Friday–Tuesday: 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
• Sunday–Thursday: 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.

Scheduling subject to union seniority.

Responsibilities

• Utilize solvents and high-pressure water blasters up to 40,000 psi for industrial cleaning.
• Perform manual scraping and chipping to clean surfaces such as walls, hoses, windows, grates, lights, and robots.
• Execute minor maintenance as needed.
• Vacuum and wipe the interior and exterior of equipment.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Perform other specialized paint booth cleaning tasks as required.
• Perform lock out/tag out of equipment for safe entry into energized areas of the paint shop.
• Perform safe entry into confined space areas needing to be cleaned.
• Perform general janitorial duties including office and restroom cleaning.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time and reach within 6" of the ground for extended periods.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs without difficulty.
• Ability to lift, carry, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months of industrial related cleaning experience.
