Responsibilities
- Prepare and sand equipment components to be painted before applying paint and primer materials
- Masking and covering of surfaces that do not require painting or touch-up
- Apply topcoat paint to equipment components
- Operate paint equipment such as paint guns and abrasive blasting equipment
- Perform quality inspection on painted components and make necessary touch-up
- Maintain accurate log and documentation of painting activities
- Communicate with production teams to ensure timely completion and delivery of products
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related role in the machinery industry
- Knowledge of paint and finishing techniques
- Understanding of paint application equipment, including spray guns
- Ability to utilize sanding and grinding equipment
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and ISO quality systems a plus
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety policies and standards
