About the Role
Paint Assistant responsibilities include assisting the Painter in various preparatory tasks and completing necessary paperwork.
Responsibilities
- Aid in part preparation by hand sanding and solvent cleaning
- Mix a variety of chromate and non-chromated primers and topcoats
- Lay parts out and maneuver for efficient paint application
- Document work orders and necessary paperwork
- Process and document oven charts and temperatures
- Sweep and clean the paint shop
- Adhere to safety regulations and wear protective gear
- Manage hazardous materials safely
- Set up and label cubic yard hazardous waste storage boxes
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Compensation Range: $21.30 to $23.00 per hour (DOE) + shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift

Work Environment
Temperatures in the work environment can fluctuate with outside weather conditions. Due to the manufacturing environment, Personal Protection Equipment may be required including safety glasses, goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, and a respirator (provided by Company).
