Responsibilities
- Administer first aid and basic life support measures
- Operate EMS equipment such as cardiac monitor/defibrillators, portable suction units, and other life-saving tools
- Engage in firefighting activities, including driving and operating fire and ambulance apparatus
- Operate pumps, lay and connect hoses, perform fire suppression, containment, ventilation, and extinguishment tasks
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid MN Class D driver's license
- Live within 25 minutes travel time of the fire station
Qualifications
- Certifications required within 2 years of hire: Firefighter I & II, Hazardous Materials-Operational Level, State of MN EMT Certification and BLS Provider
