Paddock Worker (Full-Time)

About the role

The Paddock Attendant works varying shifts according to the racing schedule. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining race paddock stalls, commission stalls, locker rooms, and outside grounds, with occasional additional tasks assigned.

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with the location and number of stalls used in the paddock
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in the paddock
• Clean commission stalls and empty out stalls in the paddock
• Assist with pad collection, cleaning pads, and distribution of pads as directed

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively
• Knowledge of PHRC regulations
• Basic math skills
• Demonstrate ability to work independently

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outside for extended periods
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling
• Lift up to 30 pounds
• Vision and hearing within normal range
• Work in dimly lit, noisy areas and less-than-perfect conditions

Starting salary: $17.00 per hour
