PACU RN PRN
About the role
We are seeking a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members, while ensuring quality patient outcomes and maintaining involvement in achieving unit and departmental goals.
Responsibilities
- Affirms accountability for quality patient outcomes
- Exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions
- Maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and departmental strategic goals and objectives
- Demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for his/her own practice
- Serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team
- Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respecting privacy, method of introduction, explaining services or procedures, and communicating appropriately
Requirements
Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Work Experience Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Certifications Required: Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred: Certification in Clinical Specialty Area.

- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
