Role Overview
As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will provide immediate post-operative care, managing airway support, monitoring neurological and cardiac status, and responding to complications. Your duties include initial wound care, ensuring patient stability, and collaborating with surgical and anesthesia teams. This role involves on-call availability during select non-business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions throughout your shift
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and follow-up care
- Work within a multidisciplinary team, applying critical thinking, technical skills, and leadership
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an associate degree
- Minimum of 1 year critical care experience (ICU, ER, PACU) is required
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications, with ACLS and PALS obtained within 6 months of employment
