PACU Nurse

Role Overview

The PACU Registered Nurse provides immediate post-operative care to surgical patients, managing airway support, monitoring neurological and cardiac status, and responding to complications. They perform initial wound care, ensure patient stability, and collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams. The role involves independent assessment, documentation, patient education, and on-call availability.

• Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care

• Assess and monitor patient conditions

• Educate patients and families about medical conditions and follow-up

Qualifications and Skills

• RN license with Associate or Bachelors Degree
• At least 1 year of critical care experience (ICU, ER, PACU)
• Certifications in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support within specified timeframes
• Strong clinical skills, leadership, and teamwork are essential
