PACU - Clinical Nurse

About the role

Provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards.

This role is essential for delivering quality nursing care in a hospital setting, supporting both adult and pediatric patients across various surgical and medical services.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment, educating on illness management, home care, and medication use.
• Participates in activities enhancing patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, communicating effectively across care teams and with patients and families.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
• Works in a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe practices.

Qualifications

Educational requirements include a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor’s preferred. Licensure as an RN is mandatory. No prior experience required, but 2+ years of experience and supervisory experience are preferred.
