About the role
The PACS Administrator is responsible for supporting the hospital's Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). This includes preparing images for digital archiving, ensuring quality control of medical diagnostic images and files, and diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PACS-associated hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform all activities related to supporting the hospital’s PACS.
- Prepare images for digital archiving.
- Ensure quality control of medical diagnostic images and files.
- Diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade PACS hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot hardware and application issues for Radiology and Cardiology.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts in Information Systems, Business, or a healthcare-related field (required).
- Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent field (preferred).
- 5 years of technical knowledge in image capture and archiving technologies.
- 5 years of experience in hardware and application troubleshooting for Radiology and Cardiology.
Schedule
- Full-time, bi-weekly standard hours: 75.00.
- Scheduled work hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Weekend/holiday work not required.
- On-call required with rotation.
Pay
Salary range: $85,911.54 – $118,108.09 (bi-weekly pay frequency). Wage determined based on candidate’s experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
