If you answered "yes" to these questions, then we want to hear from you. Our Veterinary Surgery Assistants help veterinarians with crafting and going over surgical plans and estimates as needed. In addition, they perform diagnostics (e.g. radiographs, lab work), setting patients up for surgery, assisting with surgery, discharging patients, and handling client communications. A rotating on-call schedule is required once training has been completed. Schedule: 5 -8 hour shifts Pay: $19.39 - $28.00 / hour This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system. We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differential is based on a 4-hour minimum. Mon - Thurs: 6 pm to 8 am = $3.50 Shift DifferentialSat-Sun 8am-6pm = $3.50 Shift DifferentialFri - Sun: 6 pm to 8 am = $5.00 Shift Differential As a Pack Room Surgery Assistant, You Will Prepare and assemble surgery, procedure, and treatment packs according to hospital standards.Clean, inspect, and package surgical instruments and equipment for sterilization.Operate and monitor autoclaves and other sterilization equipment to ensure proper processing.Maintain accurate sterilization records and logs in accordance with hospital policies.Stock and organize surgical supplies, instruments, and consumable inventory within the pack room.Monitor inventory levels and notify leadership of low-stock items or supply needs.Ensure all packs and supplies are properly labeled, dated, and stored.Perform routine quality checks on instruments to identify damage, wear, or missing items.Assist with cleaning and disinfecting equipment and work areas to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.Follow infection control, OSHA, and hospital safety protocols at all times.Collaborate with technicians, assistants, and veterinary staff to ensure procedural readiness.Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pack room environment.Help ensure all specialty departments have the necessary sterile instruments and supplies available for patient care.Perform other duties as assigned to support hospital operations and patient care.Ensure all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and properly set up for scheduled procedures.Coordinate with clinical teams to maintain efficient case flow and minimize procedure delays.Assist with room preparation and breakdown before and after procedures while adhering to infection control standards.
