Packing Entry Level- Nightshift

Department: Shipping • Reports to: Department Manager with direction from Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals for an entry-level packing position in our shipping department. In this role, you will ensure our high-quality aluminum extrusion products are packed efficiently and securely for shipment. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to start their careers in logistics and shipping. No prior experience is required; comprehensive training will be provided.

Schedule

• 3rd shift: 6:45 AM – 6:45 PM
• 12-hour workdays on a 2-2-3 rotating shift, including every other weekend

Pay

Starting pay: $23.50 per hour, with opportunities to earn more.

Responsibilities

• Carefully pack aluminum extrusion products according to company packing standards
• Label packages accurately and complete all shipping documents correctly
• Assist in organizing and storing finished goods in the warehouse
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely shipment of products
• Inspect packing materials for quality and report any issues to supervisors
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment

Work environment / Physical demands

• Regularly stand, walk, handle objects, and use hands or arms
• Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly lift and/or move objects exceeding 25 pounds, frequently exceeding 50 pounds, and occasionally exceeding 100 pounds with a partner
• Required vision capabilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Work near moving mechanical parts on a regular basis
• High noise levels; no air conditioning

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packing and labeling
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
• Basic understanding of shipping processes and procedures is a plus
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisor/team leader
• Must pass company background check and drug screen
