Packer

Primary Duties

• Maintain organized and clean work space in the food packing and surrounding areas.
• Absorb and load food items into trucks as directed by drivers.
• Assist with deliveries as determined by the Operations Manager.
• Follow food safety standards as per Baltimore City Health Department and Good Harvest Community Kitchen.
• Pack ready-to-eat foods accurately based on daily count sheets for each customer site and route.
• Store products in correct containers and label packaging correctly to prevent delivery errors.
• Maintain regular communication with Lead Packer, Operations Manager, Lead Driver, and Culinary Management to avoid operational issues.

Secondary Duties

• Assist drivers with loading, unloading, and deliveries as requested by Lead Packer and Operations Manager.
• Support kitchen staff as requested by Lead Packer and Operations Manager.
• Assist the Inventory Receiving Clerk as needed and as requested by Lead Packer and Operations Manager.
• Follow the scheduled work shifts and notify the immediate supervisor promptly when required.
• Create a caring and respectful environment for both staff and customers.
• Participate in meetings and events related to St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore.
• Uphold the vision, mission, and values of St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
