Shifts available: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM – 10:30 PM) and 3rd Shift (10:30 PM – 6:30 AM) with a $1 shift premium. Starting pay: $18/hour.
About the role
The Packer visually inspects finished parts and places them in the proper packaging to ensure on-time, high-quality shipments that optimize departmental performance.
Responsibilities
- Periodically check parts being packaged for visual defects, missing operations, or missed parts.
- Read tags on containers and verify part numbers are correct and all processes are completed by using a visual sample.
- Understand and follow quality requirements within the department; teach these requirements to new employees (both P&C and temporary).
- Report any non-conforming or mislabeled product to Quality Assurance.
- Efficiently package parts using the proper information, labels, and containers; clean off all old labels from containers.
- Read and fill customer orders; distinguish between P&C order numbers and customer order numbers.
- Use visual aids and instructions to complete order requirements; know the location of parts and supplies within the department.
- Return tools after use.
- Perform operations in Pack Manager to package parts for shipment to customer standards.
- Perform Radio Frequency (RF) transactions to maintain inventory integrity on a “First In – First Out” (F.I.F.O.) basis; report errors for inventory adjustment.
- Create customer labels using the RF system and report errors.
- Organize and maintain the efficiency of your personal work area.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and management to enhance teamwork.
- Provide necessary, accurate, and timely feedback of all pertinent information to co-workers and management.
- Maintain consistent attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job.
- Adhere to and support company policies and procedures, including ISO, IATF 16949, and safety regulations.
- Accept instructions and duties positively.

Requirements
- Ability to learn the difference between Pridgeon & Clay order numbers and customer order numbers.
- Ability to learn the location of parts and supplies within the department.
- Ability to learn how to perform Radio Frequency (RF) transactions.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Excellent work records, including attendance.
