Packaging Technician (Machine Operator)- 2nd Shift

About the role

The Packaging Technician (Machine Operator) plays a key role in our production team by safely operating and monitoring packaging equipment to deliver high-quality products every day.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding and/or packaging equipment to process coffee according to the daily production schedule
• Follow all workplace safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs and standard operating procedures
• Perform quality checks, complete required production and quality records, and ensure product meets specifications
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment while meeting production goals and food safety standards
• Support productivity and efficiency while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Absorb and guide training and temporary workers at the workstation as needed

Requirements

• 1 year of production experience as a machine technician or machine operator
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays
• Ability to uphold and follow safety, food safety, and production quality standards
• Attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness and reliability
• Works well as part of a team, demonstrates flexibility, accountability, and a willingness to assist others as needed
• Maintains a positive attitude and contributes to a respectful, collaborative, and supportive work environment

Physical Requirements and Environmental Exposures

• Able to work 8-hour shifts while standing, lifting, bending, and reaching
• Able to work on your feet for over 9 straight hours
• Able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive, and lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis
• Able to lift 80 pounds 20% of the shift
• Able to endure constant leaning and bending during the shift
• Able to handle/move up to 750-pound bins on casters

Pay

The target annual base salary range for this position is $20 – $22 per hour. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education, certifications or licenses, other legitimate non-discriminatory business factors, and the geographic location of the role.

This position works 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday from 3:30pm-12:00am
