About the role
This is a 6-month contract position based in La Verne, California (91750). You will work on assignments that are basic to routine in nature, following written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Master Batch Records, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Under the guidance of a Group/Team Leader and the Packaging Manager, you will assist in the inspection and packaging of products and Clinical Trial Material.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Packaging line equipment including vial labeler, vial label laser, and carton laser.
- Prepare cleaning solutions and clean packaging areas, including walls, ceilings, floors, and equipment.
- Comply with all safety-related procedures and practices personally and in the work area.
- Set up check-weighing of multi-unit cartons.
- Perform basic ERP/MES transactions.
- Report variance or deviation from standard procedures to department management.
- Work on manufacturing and packaging of products, assisting in the inspection of products and components.
- Receive well-defined instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.
- Take variant action only with approval of department management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or packaging experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to GMP and safety requirements.
- Mechanical skill set preferred.
- Experience in a cGMP environment preferred.
Schedule
1st shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
