Packaging Technician I - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain diverse packaging machinery, including tube fillers, bottle fillers, and cappers.
- Set up, clean, and perform maintenance on packaging equipment.
- Ensure smooth production line operations, focusing on safety, quality, and output.
- Troubleshoot issues and propose efficient solutions to keep operations running.
- Monitor product quality and reject materials or packages not meeting FDA-cGMP standards.
- Document and maintain proper fill levels according to product specifications.
- Follow Set-Up Sheets, SPIs (Standard Packaging Instructions), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and other procedures.
- Ensure a safe work environment, report hazards, and comply with FDA and cGMP requirements.
- Use tools to disassemble and reassemble machinery as needed.
- Prepare packaging lines for various products, ensuring correct setup of components and equipment.
- Provide packaging supplies and bulk products to maintain smooth operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in manufacturing or production, including operating high-speed packaging or assembly equipment, start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
- Proficiency in operating various packaging machinery and tools, such as electric and manual lift trucks, tape machines, fillers, cappers, labelers, and bundlers.
- Ability to lift 25-60 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Exceptional coordination, manual dexterity, and mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness to comply with dress code regulations and undergo necessary training.
- Ability to work in conditions with exposure to product, dust, grease, and packing machinery hazards.
Schedule
This is a 3rd shift position: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM.
Pay
The starting hourly rate for this position is $20.62. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
