About the role
The Packaging Operator provides the technical and operational skills needed to deliver world-class results in line efficiencies, quality, and cost while meeting high standards of safety, customer service, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Assist Packaging Tech with all supporting functions for operating the production line.
- Follow all applicable waste, scrap reduction, and recycling guidelines (housekeeping).
- Maintain component traceability.
- Clear out basic jams on the production line and restart the machine.
- Feed production line with material as necessary.
- Assist in changeovers, washouts, and preventative maintenance.
- Use electronic devices for data entry and reporting purposes.
- Train new operators and temporary workers as needed.
- Work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Complete equipment changeovers as trained and required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to operate a packaging line and related equipment (startup, clearing jams, manual operations, and shutdown).
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English (verbal and written).
