PACKAGING TECHNICIAN

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician with experience in packaging machinery to provide installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and training at customer locations throughout Northeast, South East, and Midwest Region. Work involves various industrial facilities with extreme temperatures, dust, and chemical exposure; confined spaces possible.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain packaging equipment at customer facilities
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
• Conduct customer training and on-site technical support
• Complete service reports and documentation
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Travel 90% with extended commissioning assignments

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years field technician experience (high travel)
• Experience with packing machines (Valve Baggers, Inline, FFS, VFFS machinery)
• Liquid Filling Experience
• Valid passport or ability to obtain
• Valid driver's license with clear record
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Technical degree OR equivalent experience/apprenticeship
• Proficient English communication skills

Qualifications

• Siemens Tia Portal experience
• SAP experience
• TWIC Card and OSHA 10

• Advanced PLC knowledge
• Allen Bradley: Studio 5000 and Panel View
• Electrical systems
• Mechanical knowledge
• Industrial equipment experience
• Ability to read/interpret electrical documentation and plant drawings

Pay

Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
