Packaging Supervisor
About the Role
We're looking for Packaging Supervisors across two shifts. One position is 6am to 3pm with rotating weekends. The second position is 9am to 6pm also with rotating weekends. The roles are designed to supervise various packaging activities at specified safety, quality, production efficiency, and cost standards. Provides leadership, planning, and resources to help create a high-performance work environment in manufacturing. Responsible for safety, sanitation, quality, productivity, cost, employee/labor relations, and more.
This role will be based out of our 24/7 manufacturing facility in North East, PA.
Responsibilities
- Promote and ensure the safety and quality of Welch's products by performing daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and audits of production areas and activities.
- Audit and review employee performance, HACCP and Food Safety paperwork, Time and Attendance, SOPs, GMPs, and more.
- Supervise production personnel in the accomplishment of packaging objectives, while driving a culture of employee engagement.
- Provide planning and direction to employees in daily operations of the department, including assigning responsibilities, coordinating work efforts, removing obstacles, monitoring performance, and driving for success.
- Lead cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus on Operations Management or Engineering. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 2-5 years of manufacturing experience. Experience in Food & Beverage Manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to work third shift.

Pay
The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Welch’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus plan.
