Packaging Specialist - Cannabis Confection Kitchen

Reports To: Production Manager

Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site (Monday through Friday)

Groundworks Industries is home to a collection of brands that seek to provide knowledgeable and artful experiences setting new standards for the purchase and experience of cannabis. We are looking for individuals passionate about cannabis education and helping build an inclusive, professional cannabis culture. Our Workshop creates thoughtfully dosed products for both novice and seasoned cannabis users, crafted by expert confectioners with support from local partnerships honoring Portland's maker culture.

Responsibilities

• Support packaging and inventory management efforts, including stickering, boxing, and counting edibles into packaging.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of the kitchen and post-manufacturing processing of edible products.
• Partner with a team of cannabis confection professionals to complete the production plan by following scheduled assignments and established priorities.
• Follow all written work instructions, including Standard Operating Procedures, checklists, and other instructions as needed.
• Ensure all product is packaged in accordance with standard operating procedures and meets company quality standards while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Maintain timely communication with production team members.

Requirements

• Must be 21 or older and hold or obtain a valid OLCC Marijuana Handler's permit.
• Must have an up-to-date Food Handlers Card.
• Cannabis industry, warehouse, or food manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with cannabis tracking systems and OLCC rules.

• Skills to manage highly regulated inventory, including attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to give and receive constructive feedback efficiently and meaningfully.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, and kneel daily in food production environments with concrete or hard-surface floors and staircases.
• Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.
• Ability to maintain focus and memory in environments with distractions such as heavy foot traffic, background noise, and gatherings.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks.
