Packaging Specialist (35) - 1st Shift

The Responsibilities

• You will unload products from a conveyer belt or table and place them in a carton, skid, or fixture.
• You may operate manual equipment, assist in the production of envelopes by tending the press or operate label machines.
• You will examine the products to ensure product quality has been met and assist in preventative maintenance.
• You will report production-related information and handle required paperwork.

Important Things To Know

• Flexibility is key as you will assist with all aspects of the different assignments across departments.
• In the production areas there is some noise. Hearing protection is provided by Hallmark.
• Overtime is available and will be covered during the interview process.

Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise

• Basic Qualifications: You’re at least 18 years of age, able to read, write and understand English, have the ability to constantly stand, walk, twist, bend, and reach above shoulder level, use repetitive hand/wrist motion and perform fine motor skills, and grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 60 pounds occasionally.
• Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, previous warehouse, production, or packer/packaging experience, strong communication- and problem-solving skills.
