Packaging Sourcing Specialist
About the role
Gadge USA was established in 1993. Our company is a national packaging supply and supply-chain solutions company with an expansive distribution network. We manage packaging portfolios across multiple categories, combined with a scalable service model, which delivers packaging solutions and continuous improvement to our customers. We are currently recruiting a Sourcing Specialist to support our Sourcing team.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Sourcing Department and assist Sourcing Managers with basic tasks related to new packaging products and specification updates.
- Create and enter Requests for Quotes (RFQs), input product information into Salesforce or SpecRight, and help maintain accurate project notes throughout each project.
- Aid in gathering pricing information from multiple vendors and preparing simple cost comparisons, customer/vendor quotes, basic specification documents, and other internal forms.
- Track project timelines, follow up on outstanding items, and flag any delays or issues to the team.
- Process approved orders, complete follow-ups with vendors, and escalate any concerns as instructed.
- Prepare basic documents such as new item forms, spec sheets, customer price lists, and warehouse notifications, ensuring all systems are updated correctly.
- Support research efforts by gathering information on packaging products, market trends, and potential new vendors.
- Organize and maintain a vendor library including contact information, capabilities, samples, and product details.
- Aid in preparing weekly reports, meeting notes, and updates for the Sourcing and Sales teams.
- Cook up vendor visits, sample requests, and presentations for the Sales and Sourcing Departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or 1 year of administrative, project support, purchasing, or related experience.
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Comfortable working with data and basic spreadsheets; proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
- Interest in learning sourcing, procurement, or product development processes.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with purchase orders, inventory documents, or bills of lading.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM/project management tools.
- Basic knowledge of packaging, manufacturing, or product development.
- Interest in vendor communication or price comparison/negotiation.
- Exposure to international sourcing or packaging.

Additional Information
The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 commensurate with the candidate's experience.
