About the role

A Packaging Operator I is an entry-level role within the packaging department, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of packaging equipment. This position ensures in-process products are packaged in accordance with the Packaging Batch Record, while strictly adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) throughout all operations.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out packaging operations in strict compliance with cGMP, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), environmental and safety regulations, and other applicable guidelines.
  • Consistently uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follows all gowning and safety protocols.
  • Handles the disposal of rejected products and packaging components in designated disposal areas, in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Inspections and verifies bulk product and packaging components prior to their entry into the packaging room.
  • Maintains accurate logbook entries by recording relevant information before and after each batch operation.
  • Performs in-process quality control checks during packaging operations and accurately documents the results in the Packaging Batch Record.
  • Verifies the accuracy of scales and balances by performing weight checks and ensures all equipment is within calibration status prior to initiating packaging operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School or GED General HS Curriculum - Required
  • Experience: less than one year in Pharmaceutical Packaging/Manufacturing
  • Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of safety, cGMP and SOP

Amneal offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award, as well as a long-term incentive award, such as restricted stock units, with this position within the first 12 months. Amneal ranges reflect the Company’s good faith estimate of what Amneal reasonably believes that it will pay for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, experience, geographic location and other relevant skills.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $18.00-$22.00 per hour.

Schedule

This role follows a 12-hour rotating schedule, working from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. (Every other weekend required)
