Packaging Operator EBM

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot multiple types of packaging equipment, including but not limited to:
  • Carton erectors
  • Partition inserters
  • Production inserters (MPV, VPM, PLU)
  • Foil dispensers
  • Top closers
  • Palletization equipment
• Perform manual tasks such as:
  • Loading, building, and making boxes
  • Hand packaging of bottles
  • Loading labels
• Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and minor maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle materials by loading/unloading packaging materials such as corrugate, containers, or other raw materials.
• Accurately document records of finished goods, packaging specifications, or any visual quality checks.
• Perform changeovers of diverse packaging equipment (e.g., case erector, partition inserter, top sealer).
• Apply correct labels and perform quality checks consisting of visual inspection of overall product, labels, and packaging integrity for defects.
• Maintain housekeeping and perform autonomous maintenance.

Performance metrics include:

• Labeling Accuracy: Maintain a labeling accuracy rate of 100% by consistently following all labeling procedures without deviation.
• Quality Control Compliance: Perform all required quality checks with 100% completion and accuracy, identifying and reporting any defects per standard operating procedures.
• Line clearance accuracy.
• Autonomous maintenance completion.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Capable of lifting 55 pounds and standing for a minimum of 12 hours.
• Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously.
• High cleanliness standards for machines and work area.
