Packaging Operator - Days

Responsibilities

• Follow all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies, procedures, and rules, including proper use of personal protective equipment and hazard controls.
• Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and workplace injuries or illnesses in accordance with company procedures.
• Operate and monitor production and packaging equipment such as filler/capper, packer, palletizer, labeler, case erector, and de-palletizer, and assist with changeovers as needed.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot production line equipment and control systems to support efficient operations and keep processes within required parameters.
• Ensure quality standards are met by collecting samples, performing visual inspections, documenting results, and completing logs and paperwork accurately and on time.
• Support equipment reliability and plant standards through basic preventative maintenance, housekeeping, reporting malfunctions, and other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed.
• Able to read, write, communicate effectively, and follow instructions.
• Able to work in a warm to hot environment.
• Leds knowledge and experience in a high-speed industrial environment are assets.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and perform frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, standing, and walking.
• Must maintain a clean, safe work area, follow company policies and procedures, and have a high school diploma or GED.

Pay

The hourly wage for this position is $23.18 per hour.
