Job Description
- Responsible for moving required materials from defined storage or staging areas to workspace using material handling equipment including manual and motorized pallet jacks/walkies.
- Packaging of final product into end-user containers per approved Standard Manufacturing Procedures (SMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Keeps accurate logs (both written and on computer) following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Demonstrates ability to set-up, operate and clean production equipment including weighing scales, hand-filling equipment, Integrated Fill Lines (IFL) and Bagging equipment (SpeeDee & All-Fills). Requires monitoring of critical meters, gauges and displays for process parameters (i.e., temperature, humidity, RPMs).
- Maintains accurate production records, which include operation/cleaning logs, batch history records, Label reconciliation, work order information and other pertinent data.
- Responsible for assuring final product is within final weight tolerance as specified per IMW A163.
- Use independent judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, trouble-shoot and problem solve in areas on set up, operations, and processes.
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain neat, accurate and complete records and logs and use calibration equipment and machine operations.
Minimum Qualification
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing, packaging and/or warehouse environment.
- Must be capable of performing heavy lifting/handling during a 10-hr. shift; 1-5 lb.- 70% ; 5-25 lbs. -30%
- Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs 50% to 95% of the workday.
- Must be capable of passing the physical examination for forklift operations and respirator fit test.
