Packaging Operator - 3rd shift

About the role

We are looking for a 2nd or 3rd shift packager to join our team to make high quality food ingredients!

Responsibilities

• Packaging yeast powder which goes into food products, cat food, livestock feeds, and probiotics
• Stack powder bags on pallets and operate a shrink wrapping machine
• Take samples of product to ensure quality standards are met
• Operate and monitor equipment (forklifts and bagging equipment)
• Perform cleaning for your assigned area that complies with company and government policy
• Fill out required paperwork related to run rates, product types, and production summaries
• Follow food and safety standards/good manufacturing practices

Requirements

• Attention to detail
• Ability to work both 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, as well as weekends
• Ability to read, write, and a desire to learn about equipment/food manufacturing
• Ability to lift up to 55lbs regularly, position 100lbs, stand for extended periods of time, assemble equipment, and work safely in hot environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a similar packaging or manufacturing role preferred

Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
• Basic computer skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 55lbs and stand for extended periods
