Packaging Operator, 3rd Shift (11:00PM - 7:10AM *Week begins Sunday Night)
About the Role
Works under the general direction of the Packaging Supervisor or other designated supervision. Coordinates the activities of Packaging Operator Trainees, performs all job duties of said employees, and is responsible for the total operation of all manual, semiautomatic, and automatic packaging lines.
Responsibilities include quality control, material procurement, line set-up and adjustment of product within specifications, light preventative maintenance, and communications required to operate the line. Trains Packaging employees, observes work to ensure proper procedures are followed, cosigns pertinent records, and maintains a smooth flow of production.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual, semiautomatic, and automatic packaging lines and powder presses.
- Perform quality control, material procurement, line set-up, and product adjustments within specifications.
- Conduct light preventative maintenance and ensure smooth line operation.
- Train Packaging employees and observe work to ensure adherence to procedures.
- Assist in department operations with a focus on GMPs, sanitization, quality control, safety, housekeeping, and production control.
- Attend training programs to maintain high standards for L'Oréal employees.
- Collaborate with management on process improvements (e.g., quality, efficiency, housekeeping).
- Perform line changeovers, including sanitization of parts to establish GMPs.
- Manage movement, documentation, and supply of incoming components, bulk materials, and finished products.
- Handle production and inventory controls, including ordering, recording inventory, and closeout transactions.
- Maintain line upkeep, housekeeping, and report irregularities to supervision.
- Perform all duties of a Packaging Operator and other related tasks as directed.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in production/processing areas, machinery, and product items.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform repeated bending, lifting, and standing for long hours.
- Capable of working off shifts, including overtime.
- Effective communication in English (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of and ability to work with all products, including current and promotional items.
- Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- High School education or GED equivalency preferred.

Pay
Base hourly pay range: $19.81 – $27.26. Actual compensation depends on shift differential, geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
