Packaging Operator, 1st shift PL1
About the role
Your role will provide you the responsibility for your area of packaging – ensuring smooth running and troubleshooting problems. The role is about more than just efficiency - Our commitment to innovation runs through the whole business. So, we will look to you to spot and take every opportunity to improve safety, quality, and performance while following strict adherence to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), Food Safety, and Food Defense are mandatory.

Monday – Friday
6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Operate packaging equipment including shut down/start up procedures, troubleshoot equipment problems
- Monitor semi-automated machinery to ensure proper packaging
- Ensure all components being used match packaging set-up form
- Complete equipment and environment cleaning requirements
- Complete documentation accurately and legibly
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitary workplace
- Follow all Good Documenting Practices (GDP) and guidelines to ensure accurate information
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
- Physical ability to complete job duties,
- Ability to stand for long periods (8-12) hours
- Lift, push or pull 50 lbs
- Working in varying temperature environments
- Ability to bend, twist and complete repetitive motions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions accurately
- Attention to detail and organization skills
- Work collaboratively with a team
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training or cross training
- Time management skills
- An aptitude for understanding and adhering to detailed manufacturing processes and safety protocols.
- A detail-oriented and reliable approach, with the drive to take the initiative and achieve high-quality results.
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
