Job Description

• Performs tasks as described and assigned by department Supervisor.
• Works in a safe manner.
• Ensures product specifications are attained.
• Works in a cost-conscious manner to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
• Attends work on time each workday.
• Communicates with other department members and works as a team player.
• Is flexible to various job assignments and working conditions.
• Fulfills responsibilities under Good Manufacturing Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, plant rules, and policies.
• Can lift 16 pounds repetitively.
• Installs, removes, cleans, and re-tapes seal bars.
• Straights and aligns each bag on the seal bar.
• Maintains pace with the line.
• Adjusts line speed for various products.
• May perform lubrication of 8600.
• Starts and stops the 8600 machine.
• Participates in set-up and tear-down/put-away activities.
• Briefs Supervisor or Lead Person about equipment issues.
• Maintains correct and legible sell-by date product.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education.
• Up to one month related experience or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
