Packaging Lead - Weekend Shift

Job Summary

The role of this position is to assist in the management of all activities associated with the filling/packaging of products. Reporting to: Packaging Supervisor. Location: Johnson City, TN. Onsite Schedule: Weekend Shift.

Responsibilities/Essential Duties

• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel in following policies and procedures
• Leads the packaging/filling rooms and coordinate activities of workers engaged in filling and packaging products
• Evaluate and improve work processes resolving problem areas
• Ensure product quality through a commitment to SOP adherence and training of staff
• Aid in staffing the production areas and ensure employees demonstrate a commitment to maximizing efficiency and productivity
• Review batch record entries
• Calculate yield for finished goods
• Keep production process flowing smoothly
• Conform to all cGMP procedures and Standard Operating Procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people from all backgrounds
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills
• Basic math skills
• Consistent and punctual attendance
• Proficient in using standard computer software and hardware
• Must be quality driven with good attention to detail but also be able to work in a fast-paced environment
