Nature and Scope
The Packaging/Inspection Technician IV role entails the execution of setup, changeover, repairs, and preventative maintenance for equipment used in the inspection and packaging processes. The ideal candidate must be able to perform repairs and preventive maintenance activities on production equipment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Setting up and breaking down of inspection and packaging lines.
- Troubleshooting equipment/system issues.
- Performing equipment corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Identification and correction of unsafe conditions.
- Work independently and in a safe manner using the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Correct/Report unsafe behaviors or equipment.
- Maintain housekeeping of own work area.
- Maintain train the trainer status.
- Maintain 100% Training Compliance.
- Aid in the mentoring and training of new hires and junior personnel.
- Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Education Required
- High School/GED
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
- Education Requirements and Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- 5 years of previous relevant experience in a manufacturing working environment, required.
- Use of small hand tools such as digital multi-meter, band saw, and drills required.
- Working knowledge of 120V- 208V AC/ 3-24VDC, troubleshooting down to electronic components preferred.
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, solid state relays, and transformers required.
- Working knowledge of cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) required.
- Must be able to read documents in Standard English such as Standard Operating Procedures, maintenance schedules and operating manuals.
- Ability to read and understand engineering electrical schematics and mechanical drawings preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and document activities as outlined in SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures).
- Working knowledge of PLC based control systems required.
- Well versed in safety programs (e.g., Lock out / Tag out, line breaking).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision required.
- Basic Microsoft Office and Windows skills.
- Must be flexible to work on multiple shifts and holidays.
Physical Environment and Requirements
- Possesses physical ability to wear protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, respirators, and protective gloves.
- PPE and Respirators are essential for the health and safety of employees.
- Employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The salary range, is the minimum and maximum hourly rate of compensation for the role that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting of an advertisement for the role.
