Packaging Engineer I

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Packaging Engineer I for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in El Segundo, CA . Details for the position are as follows: Job Title: Packaging Engineer Location: El Segundo, CA, USA Pay Rate: $40.44/hr Duration: 6 Months Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Job Description Support packaging development, testing, and sustainability initiatives for consumer products. Prepare and coordinate test requests for new packaging materials and components. Review and evaluate packaging test reports to support project decisions. Maintain project documentation, data files, and LIMS/PLM inputs. Perform project data cleanup, organization, and documentation updates. Coordinate GreenPoint data requests and support packaging sustainability activities. Support recyclability assessments and L4TF data collection. Track project action items and support packaging projects from concept through implementation. Collaborate with R&I, Supply Chain, Quality, and other stakeholders on packaging development activities. Education Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent technical education or experience may be considered. Required Skills Packaging and materials testing. Packaging component and material evaluation. LIMS/PLM data entry and maintenance. Project data cleanup and documentation management. Packaging test request preparation and coordination. Evaluation and interpretation of packaging test reports. GreenPoint data coordination. L4TF and packaging sustainability data collection. Recyclability assessment support. 5 years of relevant packaging engineering or related experience. Business-level English proficiency. Preferred Skills Experience supporting consumer products or beauty packaging. Experience with sustainable packaging materials and recyclability initiatives. Experience supporting packaging development from concept through launch. Familiarity with packaging project documentation and transfer activities. Experience working with cross-functional R&I, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.
