Packaging Engineer I

About the role

Support packaging development, testing, and sustainability initiatives for consumer products. This is a 6-month contract position based in El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate test requests for new packaging materials and components.
• Review and evaluate packaging test reports to support project decisions.
• Maintain project documentation, data files, and LIMS/PLM inputs.
• Perform project data cleanup, organization, and documentation updates.
• Coordinate GreenPoint data requests and support packaging sustainability activities.
• Support recyclability assessments and L4TF data collection.
• Track project action items and support packaging projects from concept through implementation.
• Collaborate with R&I, Supply Chain, Quality, and other stakeholders on packaging development activities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent technical education or experience may be considered.
• 5 years of relevant packaging engineering or related experience.
• Business-level English proficiency.

• Experience working with cross-functional R&I, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.

Pay

$40.44/hr
