About the role
The Packaging Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing packaging solutions that meet product protection and logistics requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new packaging systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging meets regulatory standards
- Conduct material testing and evaluate packaging performance
- Optimize packaging processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in packaging engineering or a similar field
- Strong understanding of packaging materials and their properties
- Experience with packaging design software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of ISO and other relevant packaging standards
- Experience with sustainability initiatives and eco-friendly packaging options
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles
- Experience with quality assurance and control processes
