Packager/Wrapper - Production

About the role

Responsibilities

• Obtain and sort product and wrap protective material around the product
• Line and pad crates and assemble cartons
• Inspect materials, products and containers at each step of the packaging process
• Record information such as weight, time and date packaged
• Mark and label containers, container tags, or products
• Record product, packaging and order information on specified forms
• Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them in designated areas
• Seal containers or materials, using glues, fasteners, nails and hand tools
• Load materials and products into package processing equipment
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Able to read and understand English
• Able to count and do simple math (primarily addition)
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Able to tolerate high heat and humidity while doing physical activity
• Free range of motion - bending, stooping, twisting, walking, balancing
• People who have allergies or are sensitive to chemicals should avoid this position

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing environment experience preferred

Pay

$15.00 per hour

Schedule

8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Some overtime work may be required.
