Packager Operator - 2nd shift

About the role

We are looking for a 2nd shift packager to join our team to make high quality food ingredients!

Responsibilities

• Packaging yeast powder which goes into food products, cat food, livestock feeds, and probiotics
• Stacking powder bags on pallets and operating a shrink wrapping machine
• Taking samples of product to ensure quality standards are met
• Operating and monitoring equipment (forklifts and bagging equipment)
• Performing cleaning for your assigned area that complies with company and government policy
• Filling out required paperwork related to run rates, product types, and production summaries
• Following food and safety standards/good manufacturing practices

Requirements

• Attention to detail
• Ability to work both 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, as well as weekends
• Ability to read, write, and a desire to learn about equipment/food manufacturing
• Ability to lift up to 55lbs regularly, position 100lbs, stand for extended periods of time, assemble equipment, and work safely in hot environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a similar packaging or manufacturing role preferred

Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow safety protocols
• Basic computer literacy
