Packager - 2nd Shift

About the role

The Packager is responsible for packaging finished products according to customer specifications and optimizing the productivity of the machine processing line.

Responsibilities

• Package finished products for storage and shipment, adhering to customer specifications
• Select and maintain an adequate supply of packaging materials for processing and warehouse activities
• Keep a working set of tools required for packaging tasks
• Read and follow both standard and special packaging specifications
• Safely and properly operate manual, semi-automatic, and automatic packaging equipment
• Complete and inspect paperwork, tagging, and final packaging of finished products
• Move finished products to storage or shipping areas as needed
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in the work area according to company policies
• Work collaboratively with processing crew members and company management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts
• Ability to read and understand work orders and written instructions
• Proficiency in using measuring devices such as rulers, tapes, and calipers
• Basic computer skills to print tags and manage documentation
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility
• Demonstrated reliable work history
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all inspection tasks
