Package Handler - Part Time (Warehouse like)

About the role

Package Handlers are responsible for loading, unloading, and sorting packages within a warehouse setting. This role is part-time and flexible, with varying shift lengths based on package volume.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload packages of various sizes from delivery vehicles to storage areas.
• Sort packages according to destination and size.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Ensure packages are properly secured and labeled.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors during peak times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Valid driver’s license (part-time employees).

Qualifications

Pay

The starting hourly pay for this role is $17.30, with potential to increase based on performance and experience. Overtime is paid after 40 hours per week.

Schedule

Part-time Package Handlers typically work between 3 and 6 hours per day, while full-time employees work between 6 and 10 hours per day, depending on package volume. Shift lengths vary based on demand.
