Package Handler - Part Time (Warehouse like)

About the role

Package Handlers are responsible for loading, unloading, and sorting packages in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles using manual and powered equipment.
• Sort packages by size, destination, and priority.
• Handle packages of varying weights and sizes.
• Operate conveyors and other machinery as needed.
• Ensure packages are properly secured and labeled.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license (part-time position).

Pay

The pay range for Package Handlers is $20.20 - $21.20 per hour, with additional rates for early morning and mid-day shifts.

Schedule

Part-time Package Handlers work one shift a day, typically between 3 and 6 hours. Full-time Package Handlers work two shifts, with shift lengths varying based on package volume. Overtime is paid after 40 hours per week.
