About the role
Package Handlers at Federal Express Corporation (FEC) are responsible for loading, unloading, and sorting packages of various sizes in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.Responsibilities
- Load and unload vehicles, carts, and conveyors with packages of varying sizes and weights.
- Sort packages according to destination and size.
- Operate machinery and equipment to assist with package handling tasks.
- Ensure packages are properly packed and secured for transport.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Good physical condition and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
Qualifications
- Experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse operations and packaging techniques.
