Pack Line Production Associate (2nd Shift)

Gotion Inc. is based in Silicon Valley, CA, currently building a Manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL and has R&D centers in Ohio, China, Japan and Europe. We innovate in the next generation electric vehicle and energy storage technologies (lithium batteries and related systems) with the aim to accelerate electrified transportation and achieve sustainable development. Gotion is powered by a leading power battery technology company that provides solutions for vehicles including the world's first mass commercial e-bus route.

About the role

The Production Associate will play a critical role in supporting and optimizing the production line by ensuring high standards of process stability, quality, and efficiency. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble battery packs and related components with precision and attention to detail.
• Perform quality inspections and spot checks to maintain our high standards.
• Operate and maintain equipment, including regular cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance.
• Contribute to a clean and organized workspace according to 5S principles.
• Utilize tightness testing equipment to ensure product integrity.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including proper handling of materials and waste disposal.
• Follow material safety data sheets (MSDS) and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills for using manufacturing software (if applicable).

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience. Experience in related industries may also be considered.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to reach, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to meet specific visual acuity requirements (near/far vision, depth perception, color vision).
• Able to wear composite work boots.

Schedule

This is a 2nd shift position: Monday-Friday, 3pm-11:30pm. 2nd shift will receive an additional $1.00 per hour night shift premium.

Pay

Base pay range for this role is $20 - $20 USD per hour, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
