PA/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Part-Time

About the role

Provide individualized care to children and adolescents focusing on both physical and mental health. Serve as an educator to the entire family, emphasizing wellness and self-care.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on the health and wellness of assigned clients
  • Work independently in assessing and treating medical problems with children and adolescents
  • Implement evidenced-based treatment and care models within a clinically based environment
  • Collaborate with treatment teams
  • Participate in CEU and continued education credits through various professional activities and Devereux’s National Institute for Clinical Training and Research Center

Requirements

  • Graduation from a board-approved master's level nurse practitioner or PA program with specialty training in psychiatric/mental health
  • Current valid license as a CRNP/PA with prescriptive authority in Connecticut
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with mental health needs
  • Relevant clinical competence evidenced by direct clinical care experience, continuing education credits, and letters of reference
  • Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft applications, and data collecting/analyzing platforms
  • Valid Driver’s license maintained

Qualifications

  • Master's level nurse practitioner or PA program graduation
  • License as a CRNP/PA with prescriptive authority in Connecticut
  • Experience with children and adolescents with mental health needs
  • Direct clinical care experience and relevant clinical competence
  • Proficiency in computer applications and data analysis
  • Valid driver’s license
