PA/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Part-Time
About the role
Provide individualized care to children and adolescents focusing on both physical and mental health. Serve as an educator to the entire family, emphasizing wellness and self-care.
Responsibilities
- Focus on the health and wellness of assigned clients
- Work independently in assessing and treating medical problems with children and adolescents
- Implement evidenced-based treatment and care models within a clinically based environment
- Collaborate with treatment teams
- Participate in CEU and continued education credits through various professional activities and Devereux’s National Institute for Clinical Training and Research Center
Requirements
- Graduation from a board-approved master's level nurse practitioner or PA program with specialty training in psychiatric/mental health
- Current valid license as a CRNP/PA with prescriptive authority in Connecticut
- Experience working with children and adolescents with mental health needs
- Relevant clinical competence evidenced by direct clinical care experience, continuing education credits, and letters of reference
- Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft applications, and data collecting/analyzing platforms
- Valid Driver’s license maintained
Qualifications
- Master's level nurse practitioner or PA program graduation
- License as a CRNP/PA with prescriptive authority in Connecticut

- Direct clinical care experience and relevant clinical competence
- Proficiency in computer applications and data analysis
- Valid driver’s license
