About the Role
The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with a physician for assistance in clinical decision-making, case management, and evaluation of performance. The role involves providing advanced nursing care and treatment to patients, performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and prescribing drugs or other therapies. The Nurse Practitioner may also plan, direct, or coordinate medicine and health services in hospitals, clinics, managed care organizations, public health agencies, or similar organizations.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care and treatment to patients
- Perform physical examinations
- Order diagnostic tests
- Develop treatment plans
- Prescribe drugs or other therapies
- Collaborate with physicians for clinical decision-making and case management
- Plan, direct, or coordinate medicine and health services in various healthcare settings
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nurse practitioner program
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a Nurse Practitioner within the last three (3) years
- Good clinical expertise, communication skills, and organizational skills
- Ability to provide reliable transportation as required by the nature of the position
Qualifications
- MO Nurse Practitioner license (Required)
- Active Driver’s License (Required)
