Lindley Academy Charter School – Full-time, 10-month exempt position reporting to the Principal.

About the Role

The English Language Arts teacher is responsible for developing curriculum resources and aligning instruction with the Keystone Assessment Anchors. The role involves collaboration with a grade-level team to meet school-wide goals and support scholars through engaging, standards-based instruction.

American Paradigm Schools implement the Caring School Community model, which builds positive classroom and school-wide environments while developing students’ social and emotional learning (SEL) skills. All employees are expected to champion this program.

Responsibilities

  • Create a scope and sequence aligned with the Keystone Assessment Anchors.
  • Develop weekly lesson plans tied to state standards and current curriculum in coordination with American Paradigm Schools (APS).
  • Grade student work and provide timely feedback.
  • Communicate school-wide and grade-level expectations with the team.
  • Engage with families about student progress.
  • Coordinate with ESL and special education teachers.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students.
  • Attend after-school events as needed.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • PA Teaching Certification (required).
