Pay
$22.00–$24.00 per hour.
- Attendance Incentive: Up to $2,400 bonus for good attendance (refer to policy for details).
- Referral Bonus: Up to $500 per referral (refer to policy for details).
- Hiring Bonus: Up to $1,000 (refer to policy for details).
- Step increase program: Pay increases by $0.50 after 90 days and again after 180 days.
- Additional $0.50/hr for certified/qualified forklift, walkie rider, or cherry picker drivers.
- Additional $1.00/hr for certified/qualified reach truck drivers.
Schedule
- Shift A: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
- Shift B: Friday–Sunday, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM, plus Monday, 5:00 AM – 11:00 AM.
Purpose
Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; perform duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving activities. Ensure Material Handlers operate forklifts and walkies safely at all times following all safety policies and procedures. This position reports to the shift supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Properly receive, unload, move, and tag incoming parts and equipment.
- Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Knowledge of QMS (Quality Management Systems) and Lean Warehousing.
- Operate material handling equipment and use an RF scanner.
- Pull and stage parts for production and complete requisitions for parts shortages.
- Collect and properly package inventory and purchased items needing shipment.
- Comply with company safety policies while using lifting devices (forklifts and scissor lifts) and clean initiative standards.
- Learn day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Verify orders are complete and accurate.
- Pick each customer order in the most effective manner to minimize shipping costs and ensure product safety.
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Additional Responsibilities
- Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and ability to work with limited supervision.
- General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and lead.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Good communication, problem resolution, and people skills.
- Flexibility in working overtime when needed and supplying coverage to other shifts.
- PC skills helpful.
- Major experience on sit-down forklifts and walkies.
- Experience in building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill independent orders.
- Experienced in cross-docking freight process.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse.
Requirements
- 2–4 years in a warehouse environment.
- Good, stable work and attendance record.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Warehousing certifications a plus.

Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and speak English.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to determine "root cause" of problems and determine corrective action.
Computer Skills
- Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to be on feet for a full shift (8 hours).
- Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
- Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.
Work Environment
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
- Noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
